Evening cuddles with Dad

I'm very happy to have Dad back home. He must have missed me too because he's already started relaxing on the rules :)

Morning walks with Mom

Mom has tried to be better about taking me for a walk every morning and I must say I am very thankful for it! Nothing like a little exercise to start the day.

Mom's adventure in Orange

When Mom told me she was going to go visit Aunt Chelsea for a night (while Dad is already out of town, nonetheless) you can imagine I wasn't too happy. It looked a little something like this...

Luckily she took time to take pictures of some really cute doggie stuff. Check it out!

This was posted at The Filling Station where Mom and Grandma had breakfast.

Wouldn't this look great in a garden? The little sign says "Beware of dog - You may be licked to death." Available from Dragonfly Shops and Gardens.

Though the grammar is a bit off, it's also very true.

I should be fair and say that while I missed my momma I also had a great time staying with Grandpa and Uncle Matt. I chased the ball A LOT and really enjoyed my boy time. Here I am sunning myself one afternoon...

Overall it was a great weekend for all of us. Dad comes home on Wednesday, I can't wait!

Mom input my information on Life with Dogs so that I can meet some new friends. She's good like that, always trying to help me get out there and be social! ;)

Surf's Up!

Do you remember my post from a few weeks ago when Kayna and I had a photoshoot with Alicia Anthony for an upcoming article? Well we've gone to press! That's right, the media is a-calling and I'M FAMOUS!!!! Ok I don't know if that's totally true but we made it in StubbyDog! You all have USWeekly and People Magazine but in my world, StubbyDog is true celebrity status.

The article is available here, along with a great slideshow of Alicia's pictures, many of which I didn't post to the blog last time.  Alicia also made a cool video which is too good to miss. Even Mom and Dad make an appearance! If nothing else it will put you in the mood to take your pup to the beach. Happy first day of summer! Surf's up!

Dear Jack,

Dear Jack,

It's me, Maddie!  I'm sure your mom told you what happened and I wanted to let you know that you were my best friend and I loved you very much! My favorite memories with you are our sleepovers- thanks for always letting me sleep in your bed...and for sharing your bones and toys with me. I'm sorry I didn't get a chance to say goodbye to you, nose to nose and give you kisses, but remember the fun times we had together and smile, because I'm smiling too (snaggle tooth and all)!

Don't spend too much time missing me, you'll make new friends and they'll be lucky to have you! Tell my mom and dad the same thing, I want you all to be happy. Don't feel guilty, I'm in a better place now- all dogs go to heaven!

Miss and love you all!

Maddie

Saying Goodbye

I'm happy to report that my foster sister Kayna has found her fur-ever home! Just yesterday she met her new four year old dog sister Delilah and an eight year old cat (whose name Mom can't remember). Everyone got along well so she went off to her new family.

I'll miss you Kayna ... I hope we get to play again sometime soon!

I love camping!

This past weekend we went out to Lake Hemet {side note: did you know there is a lake in Hemet?} and I had a BLAST chasing the ball, swimming in the lake, and just living the good life. The first night was a bit scary since the winds were blowing like crazy and the tent was swaaaaying but I got to cuddle with Mom and Dad so I can't complain too much. I mean really, what could be better than this?

That one with the bike is for you GGpa Bob!

There's my dad, with our friend Natasha. For a human's perspective on camping don't skip her blog here!
