I'm going to college!

Ok well I'm not actually going yet but if I did I would definitely choose one of these colleges! According to the New York Times, a growing number of schools are letting their students bring their pets to college and are even renovating dorms to make them more pet friendly. Look, dogs in dorms!

Stephens College in Columbia, MO has a "Pet Central" dorm that has a pet council which sets the guidelines and rules for pets and their parents. They even have work-study jobs in an in-dorm kennel that has pet daycare during the day. It is about time! Check out the article here and let me know where to send my application!

Welcome to the Lakeshow

Mom and dad had some friends over the other day to watch "the Lakeshow" which really didn't make any sense at all--there was no lake and no show, just yelling at the TV and plenty of eating. I'm still trying to figure it out. Anyways, their friends Jason and Ruby brought along a nice toy for me! Meet Roman, my new favorite little guy:

Cute huh? Yep, almost as cute as me. Almost.

Happy Memorial Day!

Memorial Day in San Diego is all about the beach--dog beach of course! With only two weeks left before we I have to put mom and dad back on their leashes we tried to enjoy the beautiful day as much as we could!

Hmmm maybe this is why I keep digging up Grandma and Grandpa's yard?

Mom got into a crafty mood the other day and planted some little friends for me on the balcony:

There used to be three of the cute glass ones in the picture above but somehow this happened...

We still have no idea how!!! I mean, it couldn't have been me, look at my little innocent face. We are taking tips though to catch this violent criminal so keep an eye out...

My rematch with the bike

You all probably remember my last run-in with a bike which didn't end too well. Luckily this one had a much happier result! Mom and dad bought bikes last week at Black Mountain Bicycles and they have had a great time getting extra exercise and spending time together. Last weekend they went riding on Saturday and Sunday and Dad has continued to ride every day since! A much more serious rider than Mom (he's got the clip-in shoes and everything!), he guesses he has rode almost 100 miles this week!

The only bummer for me has been that I can't go along :( Mom thought after my last bike drama I might not be too keen on the bike idea and she was right--I was apprehensive at first. But after a little encouraging and lots of "good boys" I was ready to give it a try. And it was awesome!! Check it out:

I play hard!

I haven't written in so long!!! I can't blame it all on mom really, it's just that I've been so busy with trips to the park, the beach, and so much more. Today I have a picture and a video from a recent trip to the park. I played so hard and long that by the time mom and dad were ready to leave I couldn't even walk! Check it out:

Mom seems to think it's hilarious but I just didn't have any energy left! It's tough being a dog!

My latest antics

You may know that one of my favorite pastimes is hiding my bone. Sometimes I hide it under my bed, sometimes in Mom and Dad's bed, and occasionally I leave it right in the middle of Grandma and Grandpa's living room floor (I still can't figure out how they ALWAYS find it). Here is one of my latest innovations. Mom seemed to find it funny for some reason...

Later that same day I found a piece of brown paper Mom was throwing away but that seemed awfully wasteful so I put it to good use.

The beach in February...my life is good!

Hello everyone! Here are some pics and videos from my most recent trip to dog beach. As you can tell, I am getting to be quite the little swimmer! I am much better now at fetching the ball and actually bringing it back to Dad to throw again which certainly makes it easier and more fun for him. Ok first the pics...

Ok now my videos! In this first one Dad does this cool thing where he buries the ball in the sand and I save it! It's a fun game :)

And in this one I go swimming!!! Mom and Dad thought it was so funny! Oh and you'll have to excuse Mom's shaky video skills, she's still learning...
